CONCACAF Champions League: Late Goal Lifts Galaxy To Win; Rapids Still Alive After Road Victory; Hoops Fall In Panama; Road Draw Sends Santos To Quarterfinals

Four games were played in CONCACAF Champions League group-stage action on Wednesday.


Group A:


At Carson, California:


Juninho provided the winning goal in second-half stoppage time (90'+1) as the Los Angeles Galaxy defeated Morelia 2-1.


Group B:


At San Pedro Sula, Honduras:


Mario Martinez provided the equalizer in the 61st minute as Real Espana salvaged a 1-1 home deadlock with Santos Laguna.  Carlos Ochoa scored for the visitors, who clinched a berth in the quarterfinal round, at 51 minutes.


At Metapan, El Salvador:


Edward Ababio (31'), Quincy Amarikwa (49') , and Omar Cummings (77') provided the scoring as the Colorado Rapids remained very much alive following their 3-1 road win over Isidro Metapan.

Temistocles Perez scored twice late in the second half (77', 86') as Tauro FC outlasted visiting FC Dallas 5-3.
