At Frisco, Texas:
Geoff Cameron scored the only goal of the match in the 87th minute as the Houston Dynamo picked up their first road win of the season, 1-0 over FC Dallas.
At Harrison, New Jersey:
Dane Richards (21') and Luke Rodgers (PK-65') provided the scoring as the New York Red Bulls picked up their first league win since early July, ending the Portland Timbers' five-match unbeaten run with a 2-0 home victory.
At Columbus, Ohio:
Chad Barrett scored at the death (90'+3) as the Los Angeles Galaxy stretched their unbeaten streak to six games with a 1-0 road win over the Columbus Crew, whose winless streak reached five matches.
At Washington:
Dwayne De Rosario scored the quickest hat trick in MLS history (22', 27', 31') as DC United helped their playoff chances with a 4-1 home domination of Real Salt Lake.
At Commerce City, Colorado:
Pablo Mastroeni scored at 72 minutes to lift the Colorado Rapids to a 1-1 home draw with the San Jose Earthquakes. Chris Wondolowski scored for the visitors at 17 minutes.
At Carson, California:
Juan Pablo Angel scored twice (12', 77') as Chivas USA blanked visiting Toronto FC 3-0.
At Vancouver, British Columbia:
Fredy Montero scored twice in the second half (62', 66') as the Seattle Sounders came from behind to defeat the Vancouver Whitecaps 3-1 on the road to lock up not only a playoff berth, but also wrap up the Cascadia Cup title. The defeat officially eliminated the Whitecaps, who played their final home game at Empire Field before moving to newly-renovated BC Place, from playoff contention.
