MLS: Wins For SKC And Fire

Two games were played in Major League Soccer on Wednesday.


At Kansas City, Kansas:


Julius James' own goal in the 74th minute lifted Sporting Kansas City to a 2-1 home win over the Columbus Crew.  Kei Kamara converted on his penalty kick attempt in the 15th minute for the hosts, who reclaimed first place in the Eastern Conference standings.


At Sandy, Utah:


Marco Pappa's hat trick (9', 35', 75') provided all the scoring as the Chicago Fire kept their flickering playoff hopes alive with a 3-0 road domination of Real Salt Lake.
