UEFA Champions League Group E: Late Goal Foils Chelsea's Hopes For Road Win; Shutout Win For Leverkusen

Match Day #2 in UEFA Champions League group stage play concluded on Wednesday with eight games, two of them in Group E.


At Valencia, Spain:





Roberto Soldado's 87th-minute penalty-kick equalizer enabled Valencia to salvage a 1-1 home draw with Chelsea.  Frank Lampard (shown here celebrating) scored at 56 minutes for the Blues.


At Leverkusen, Germany:





Lars Bender (30', shown here) and Michael Ballack (90'+1) provided the scoring that lifted Bayer Leverkusen to a 2-0 home win over KRC Genk.
