The semifinal round of the Amway Canadian Championship concluded with two games on Wednesday.
At Montreal:
Marco Di Vaio scored twice (44', 90') as the Montreal Impact more than overturned their series-opening defeat from last week at Toronto by demolishing visiting Toronto FC 6-0 in the second game of their two-match series and winning the series 6-2 on aggregate.
At Vancouver, British Columbia:
Goals from Corey Hertzog (58') and Shaun Saiko (OG-67') carried the Vancouver Whitecaps to a 2-0 game-two road win over FC Edmonton (NASL) and a 5-2 series-aggregate victory.
The two-legged final between the Impact and Whitecaps will begin on May 15 with the return match on May 29. The winners will play in the group stage of next season's CONCACAF Champions League.
