US Open Cup: Menace Blank Visiting 59ers

At West Des Moines, Iowa:

In the lone Wednesday Lamar Hunt US Open Tournament contest, the Des Moines Menace (PDL)  defeated the visiting Madison 56ers (NPSL) 1-0 in a first-round battle of fourth-division clubs.

At Richmond, Virginia:

Richmond Kickers (USL Pro) vs. Icon FC (USASA), with the winner to take on DC United on May 28.

Carolina Railhawks (of the second-division North American Soccer League) vs. Carolina Dynamo (PDL), with the winner to host the Los Angeles Galaxy on May 29.
