Three more teams qualified for next year's World Cup on Tuesday as the fourth round of Asian qualifying came to a conclusion.
At Sydney, Australia:
Joshua Kennedy scored the only goal of the match in the 83rd minute as Australia sealed their third straight World Cup Finals appearance (their fourth overall) with a 1-0 home win over Iraq.
At Ulsan, South Korea:
Reza Ghoochanneljhad scored the lone goal of the match in the 60th minute as Iran locked up their fourth WCF appearance with a 1-0 road victory over South Korea, who also qualified for the World Cup Finals (due to superior goal differential vis a viv Uzbekistan), their eighth straight and ninth overall.
Australia, Iran, and South Korea joing hosts Brazil and Japan amongst those that have qualified for next year's World Cup.
