Germany: Who's Going Up, Down, Where?

Here's a summary of who, amongst German Bundesliga clubs, are heading to European club competitions for next season, as well as heading down to the second division.

UEFA Champions League (Group Stage):

Bayern Munich (as Defending Champions)

Borussia Dortmund

Bayer Leverkusen

UEFA Champions League (Playoff Round):

FC Schalke 04

Europa League (Group Stage):

SC Frieburg  (with German Cup winners Bayern Munich having already clinched a berth in the Champions League's group stage, Freiberg will play in the Europa League's group stage) 

Europa League (Playoff Round):

Eintracht Frankfurt (see SC Freiberg and VfB Stuttgart to explainations)

Europa League (Third Qualifying Round):

VfB Stuttgart (lost German Cup final to Champions League group-stage-bound Bayern Munich)

Promotion-Relegation Two-Game Playoff:

TSG 1899 Hoffenheim maintained their top-flight status after defeating FC Kaiserslautern 5-2 on aggregate.

Relegated to 2.Bundesliga:

Fortuna Dusseldorf

SpVgg Greuther Furth

Promoted from 2.Bundesliga to 1.Bundesliga:

Herth BSC Berlin

Eintracht Braunschweiger

Promotion-Relegation Two-Match Playoff:

Dynamo Dresden maintained their second-division status after defeating VfL Osnabruck 2-1 on aggregate.

Relegated to 3.Liga:

Jahn Regensburg

Demoted to Fussball Regionalliga (Regional Soccer Leagues):

MSV Duisburg (denied a license for the 2013–14 2. Fußball-Bundesliga season, and, in accordance with the rules of the DFL (Deutsche Fußball-Liga), Duisburg are replaced by the best-placed originally relegated team, SV Sandhausen. As Duisburg also were denied a license for the 3rd Liga, they will be relegated to the fourth-tier Fußball-Regionalliga)
