MLS: Reds and Red Bulls Battle to 2-2 Draw; SKC Avenge Open Cup Defeat With Road Win Over Timbers

Two games were played in Major League Soccer on Friday.

At Harrison, New Jersey:

Bradley Wright-Phillips delivered a stoppage-time equalizer (90'+3) to lift the New York Red Bulls to a 2-2 home draw with Toronto FC.  Peguy Luyindula opened the scoring for the Red Bulls in the 36th minute, while Jermaine Defoe (55') and Gilberto (72') each delivered a tally for the visiting Reds.

At Portland, Oregon:

Lawrence Olum scored the only goal of the match in the 24th minute as Sporting Kansas City avenged their 3-1 US Open Cup home defeat from Tuesday with a 1-0 road triumph over the Portland Timbers.
