The third round of UEFA Champions League qualifying concluded on Wednesday with the second and final contest of each of the remaining eleven two-game series.
At Saint Petersburg, Russia:
Jose Salomon Rondon (55'), Danny Alves (88'), and Aleksandr Kerzhakov (PK-90'+1) each scored a second-half goal as Zenit Saint Petersburg overturned their series opening road defeat with a 3-0 game-two home domination of ten-man AEL Limassol and won their two-match series 3-1 on aggregate.
At Nicosia, Cyprus:
Cillian Sheridan (19') and Tomas De Vincenti (PK-43') delivered the goals as APOEL FC blanked visiting HJK Helsinki 2-0 in game two and took the two-match series 4-2 on aggregate.
At Tiraspol, Moldova:
A 0-0 game-two road stalemate against FC Sheriff was good enough for FC Slovan Bratislava as the Slovakian club won their two-match series 2-1 on aggregate.
At Malmo, Sweden:
Markus Rosenberg scored twice (35', 55') as Malmo FF blanked visiting Sparta Prague 2-0 in game two, and with the aggregate score at 4-4, advanced to the playoff round on away goals.
At Bucharest, Romania:
Alexandru Chipciu (3') and Nicolae Stanciu (39') each delivered a goal in the first half as Steaua Bucharest defeated visiting FC Aktobe 2-1 in game two and took out their guests from Kazakhstan 4-3 on aggregate.
At Istanbul, Turkey:
Demba Ba delivered a hat trick (28', 80', 86') as Besiktas defeated visiting Feyenoord Rotterdam 3-1 in the second match of their two-game series, which the hosts Black Eagles won 5-2.
At Copenhagen, Denmark:
Andreas Cornelius (36') and Bashkim Kadrii (52') provided the scoring as FC Copenhagen blanked visiting FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk 2-0 both in game two and on aggregate for the two-match series as the Lions advanced to the playoff round.
At Wals-Siezenheim, Austria:
Martin Hinteregger scored twice in the first half (18', 34') as FC Red Bull Salzburg overcame their series-opening 2-1 road setback from last week and blanked visiting Qarabag FK 2-0 in game two and took the series 3-2 on aggregate.
At Zagreb, Croatia:
Anders Jacobsen scored both goals (36', 85') in Aalborg BK's 2-0 game-two road win over Dinamo Zagreb, enabling the Danish club to win their two-match series 2-1 on aggregate after dropping their series opener 1-0 at home.
At Edinburgh, Scotland:
Micha Zyro (36') and Michal Kucharczyk (61') delivered the goals as Legia Warsaw blanked Celtic 2-0 on the road in game two and finished off the Bhoys 6-1 on aggregate.
At Belgrade, Serbia:
Marcelinho scored twice (19', 21') as PFC Ludogorets Razgrad gained a 2-2 game-two road draw with Partizan Belgrade and, with the aggregate score also at 2-2, ousted the Serbian club on away goals.
All the clubs that won their series will play in the playoff round which starts week after next for Champions League group-stage berths. The clubs that were eliminated both on Tuesday and Wednesday will play in the playoff round for Europa League group-stage berths beginning on August 21.
