Robbie Keane scored twice in the second half (73', PK-85') as the Los Angeles Galaxy overcame an early deficit and overtook the visiting Portland Timbers 3-1.
At Montreal:
Gilberto Oliveira Souza Junior (11') and Luke Moore (54') delivered the goals as Toronto FC blanked the Montreal Impact 2-0 on the road.
At Harrison, New Jersey:
Dax McCarty (48') and Bradley Wright-Phillips (63') each scored a second-half goal as the New York Red Bulls came from behind to upend the visiting New England Revolution 2-1.
At Bridgeview, Illinois:
Federico Higuain's equalizer in the 46th minute lifted the Columbus Crew to a 1-1 road draw with the Chicago Fire. Mike Magee's successful penalty kick in the 37th minute resulted in the lone Chicago tally as the Fire settled for their 13th draw of the season.
At Commerce City, Colorado:
Javier Morales scored the only goal of the match in the 14th minute as Real Salt Lake defeated the Colorado Rapids 1-0 on the road as the guests won the Rocky Mountain Cup for the seventh time in eight years. In the contest, RSL goalkeeper Nick Rimando picked up his MLS-record-tying 112th career shutout.
At Santa Clara, California:
In the first event to take place at Levi's Stadium, which is the new home of the San Francisco 49ers, Yannick Djalo scored the only goal of the match in the 42nd minute as the San Jose Earthquakes defeated the visiting Seattle Sounders 1-0 in front of 48, 765 fans.
