The semifinal round of the Amway Canadian Championship (with that country's lone 2016-17 CONCACAF Champions League berth going to the winner) opens on Wednesday with two games.
The hosts are listed first with all times Pacific.
The Ottawa Fury advanced to the semifinal round after dispatching fellow NASL club FC Edmonton 3-2 on aggregate last month.
At Ottawa:
Jonny Steele (3') and Paulo Junior (41') each scored a goal as the Ottawa Fury blanked the visiting Vancouver Whitecaps 2-0 in the opening match of their two-game series.
At Toronto:
Jonathan Osorio (13', 34') and Jordan Hamilton (60', 80') each scored twice as Toronto FC doubled up the visiting Montreal Impact 4-2 in game one. Michael Salazar (86') and Didier Drogba (90'+1) each scored an away goal to keep the Impact in the series.
The two respective series are set to conclude next Wednesday at Vancouver and Montreal.
