US Open Cup

15 games are set to be played in the third round proper of the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup tournament.  Here, we see all of the US-based clubs in the second-division North American Soccer League.

The hosts are listed first with all times Pacific.

At Pembroke Pines, Florida:

After a 1-1 draw through regulation, followed by 30 scoreless minutes of overtime, Victor Pagliari Giro and Geison Moura each converted a spot kick as the Fort Lauderdale Strikers (NASL) won the penalty-kick shootout 2-0 over the visiting Richmond Kickers (USL).

At Jacksonville, Florida:

Alhassane Keita scored the winning goal in the 108th minute as the Jacksonville Armada (NASL) defeated the visiting Charleston Battery 2-1 in overtime.

At Rochester, New York:

Andre Fortune (60') and Christian Volesky (70') each scored once as the Rochester Rhinos (USL) blanked visiting Lansdowne Bhoys (USASA) 2-0.

At Indianapolis:

Eamon Zayed scored the winning goal in the 68th minute as the Indy Eleven (NASL) defeated visiting Louisville City (USL) 2-1.

At Queens, New York:

Ayoze Garcia Perez (35') and Yoandri Orozco (72') provided the scoring as the New York Cosmos (NASL) blanked the visiting Jersey Express (PDL) 2-0.

At Cary, North Carolina:

After a scoreless regulation, Billy Schuler scored twice (92', 115') as the Carolina RailHawks erupted for five goals in overtime as the NASL club demolished the visiting Charlotte Independence (USL) 5-0.

At Chattanooga, Tennessee:

Aaron Wheeler (71') and Paul Wilson (80') each scored a goal as the Harrisburg City Islanders (USL) defeated Chattanooga FC (NPSL) 2-1 on the road.

At St. Petersburg, Florida:

Giorgi Hristov scored the only goal of the match in the 11th minute as the Tampa Bay Rowdies (NASL) defeated visiting FC Cincinnati (USL) 1-0.

At Miami:

Jeff Michaud (2') and Justin Moose (5') delivered the early goals for the Wilmington Hammerheads as the visiting USL club knocked off Miami FC (NASL) 2-1.

At Yukon, Oklahoma:

Kyle Hyland scored the winning goal in the 107th minute as the Oklahoma City Energy (USL) knocked off Rayo OKC (NASL) 2-1 on the road in a Sooner State Capital City metropolitan area derby.

At St. Louis:

Kevin Venegas (69') and Jack Blake (90'+4) as Minnesota United (NASL) blanked Saint Louis FC (USL) 2-0 on the road.

At Des Moines, Iowa:

Carlos Alvarez (72') and Jacques Francois (81') each scored once as San Antonio FC (USL) came from behind to knock off the Des Moines Menace (PDL) 2-1 on the road.

At Westminster, California:

Edwin Borboa scored both goals (17', 68') in La Maquina FC's 2-0 home win over the Los Angeles Wolves in a battle of USASA clubs.

At Sacramento, California:

Jesus Sanchez (60'), Mike Ramos (62'), and Hamza Haddadi (65') each scored a goal during a six-minute period in the second half as the Kitsap Pumas (PDL) knocked off the USL's Sacramento Republic 3-1 on the road.

At Peoria, Arizona:

In a battle of USL clubs, Luke Vercollone scored twice (39', 83') as the Colorado Springs Switchbacks dominated Arizona United 2-0 on the road.
