CONCACAF Champions League: Dynamo and L.A.Firpo Draw

Group stage play resumed in the CONCACAF Champions League on Tuesday:

Group B:

At San Salvador, El Salvador:

Fernando Leguizamon's equalizer (87') enabled Club Deportivo Juan Angel Firpo to gain a 1-1 home draw with the Houston Dynamo. The two clubs play again on November 26 in Houston. The Salvadorian club would only need a draw to advance to the quarterfinals. The Dynamo would have to win that game, but they would play at home. Stuart Holden put Houston on the scoreboard at 16 minutes.

Group C:

At Cancun, Mexico:

Goals from Clemente Ovalle (13') Gabriel Pereyra (82') lifted Atlante to a 2-1 comeback win over the visiting Montreal Impact, enabling the Iron Colts to overtake the USL-1 club and win Group C due to head-to-head competition (Atlante had one win and one draw vs. Montreal). Both clubs advanced to the quarterfinals.

At Tegucigalpa, Honduras:

In a battle of eliminated clubs, Allan Dos Santos scored twice (27', 38') and Oscar Bonieck Garcia (72') and Nestor Silva (85') once apiece as CD Olimpia crushed visiting Joe Public FC 4-0.
