CONCACAF Champions League: Pumas Down Dynamo; L.A. Firpo Eliminate San Francisco

Two games--both in Group B--were contested Wednesday in CONCACAF Champions League group stage play.

At Houston:

Goals from Juan Carlos Cacho (PK-18'), Fernando Espinoza (30'), and Marco Antonio Palacios (70') propelled UNAM Pumas to a 3-1 road win over the Houston Dynamo.

At Panama City, Florida:

Dennis Jonathan Alas (44'), Christian Sanchez (49'), and Fernando Leguizamon (52') enabled El Salvador's Club Deportivo Luis Angel Firpo to a 3-2 win over San Francisco FC, eliminating the Panamanian club from contention for a spot in the quarterfinal round.

GROUP B STANDINGS:

A double from Christian Benitez (11', 27') helped pace Santos Laguna to a 3-0 home beatdown of Panama's Tauro FC.
