Goats Clinch Playoff Berth; Quakes Gain Draw With TFC And Hurt Hosts' Playoff Chances; Crew Clinch East Title

Three games were played in Major League Soccer on Saturday.

At Toronto:

Cornell Glen equalizer (90') enabled the San Jose Earthquakes to gain a 1-1 road draw with Toronto FC. Nana Attakora-Gyan had put TFC in front at 47 minutes before the Quakes tied it during second-half stoppage time. The late goal that cost TFC two points delivered a crippling blow to Toronto's playoff chances.

At Foxborough, Massachusetts:

Gino Padula scored the only goal of the match at 34 minutes as the Columbus Crew locked up the Eastern Conference regular-season crown with a 1-0 road win over the New England Revolution.

At Carson, California:

Justin Braun (72') and Sacha Kljestan (74') provided the goals as Chivas USA locked up a playoff berth with a 2-0 home win over the Kansas City Wizards.
