Saturday Six-Pack In MLS; Sounders Clinch Playoff Berth

Six games were contested Saturday in Major League Soccer.

At Toronto:

Jim Brennan scored the only goal of the match (47') as Toronto FC stayed alive in the race for a playoff berth with a 1-0 home win over Real Salt Lake.

At Foxborough, Massachusetts:

In a battle of Eastern Conference teams battling for playoff spots the Chicago Fire held the hosts New England Revolution to a 0-0 stalemate.

At Washington:

Luciano Emilio scored the game's only goal at 17 minutes as DC United remained alive in the race for a playoff berth with a 1-0 home win over the Columbus Crew.

At Frisco, Texas:

FC Dallas , thanks to goals courtesy of George John (4') and Ugo Ihemelu (66') kept their playoff hopes alive with a 2-1 home win over the Colorado Rapids.

At Kansas City, Kansas:

Tyrone Marshall (28'), Roger Levesque (69'), and Nate Jaqua (76') each scored a goal as Seattle Sounders FC came from behind to defeat the Kansas City Wizards 3-2 on the road and clinch a playoff berth in their first MLS season.

At Carson, California:

Goals from Maykel Galindo (7') and Justin Braun (66') enabled Chivas USA to salvage a 2-2 home draw with San Jose. The Earthquakes' goals came from Brandon McDonald (21') and Ryan Johnson (58').
