AFC Champions League Qualifying

The opening round of qualifying for the AFC Champions League concluded on Sunday with four games.

WEST ASIA ZONE:

At Seeb, Oman:

Ibrahima Keita's stoppage-time goal (90'+4) provided all the scoring in Al-Qadsia's 1-0 road win over Al-Suwaiq.  Next up for the visiting club from Kuwait is a second-qualifying-round match in the United Arab Emirates next Saturday against Bani Yas SC.

At Amman, Jordan:

Orok Akarandut scored twice in overtime (96', 102') as Al-Hadd defeated Shabab Al-Ordon 3-1 on the road to advance to the second qualifying round, and a one-match playoff with Lekhwiya, next Saturday at Doha, Qatar.

At Kuwait City, Kuwait:

Javad Nekouram scored the only goal of the match in the 63rd minute as Al-Kuwait defeated visiting Al-Shorta from Iraq 1-0.  The Kuwaiti club will next take on Lokomotiv Tashkent next Saturday in Uzbekistan.

EAST ASIA ZONE:

At Singapore:

Andrew Barisic scored twice (20', 102') as South China AA (Hong Kong) knocked off Tampines Rovers (who finished the match with nine men) FC 2-1 on the road in overtime, to get a shot at Chonburi FC, next Sunday at Chonburi, Thailand.
