CAF Champions League Qualifying

The preliminary round of the CAF Champions League resumed on Saturday with eleven games.

At Domoni, Comoros:

Young Africans took care of business on the road as they handled Komorozine 5-2 in game two as the Tanzanian club finished their two-match demolition 12-2 on aggregate.

At Bamako, Mali:

Despite being held to a 1-1 game-two home deadlock,  Real Bamako, with the aggregate score at 3-3, won their series with Morocco's FAR Rabat on away goals.

At Freetown, Sierra Leone:

A 2-1 game-two road win for Raja Casablanca proved much more than good enough as the Moroccan club completed their two-match demolition of Sierra Leone's Diamond Stars 8-1 on aggregate.

At Bujumbura, Burundi:

A 1-1 draw at home against Diables Noirs in game two of their series with the visiting club from the Republic of the Congo enabled Flambeau de I'est to win the series 2-1 on aggregate and advance to the first qualifying round.

At Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso:

After blanking visiting Diambars from Senegal 1-0 in regulation time in game two of their series, thus squaring it at 1-1 on aggregate, and with no overtime periods, ASFA-Yennenga won the penalty-kick shootout 4-2 and advanced to the first qualifying round.

At Kigali, Rwanda:

Thanks to a 2-2 road draw in game two with Rayon Sports, AC Leopards from the Republic of Congo, with the series at 2-2 on aggregate, advanced on away goals.

At Windhoek, Namibia:

A 1-1 game-two draw on the road proved to be more than good enough for Kaiser Chiefs and the South African club finished off Black Africa FC 4-1 on aggregagte.

At Kitwe, Zambia:

Nkana FC, with Ronald Kampamba delivering a hat trick (18', PK-23', 63) and Simon Bwayla a double (28', 85'), overcame their 2-0 series-opening defeat in Swaziland with an impressive 5-2 home win in game two and ousted Mbabane Swallows 5-4 on aggregate.

At Kampala, Uganda:

Despite a 2-1 game-two home defeat at the hands of Al-Merreikh, the Kampala City Council Football Club still won their two-game series with the Sudanese club 3-2 on aggregate.

At Mahe, Seychelles:

A 2-1 win on the road was more than good enough for Kabuscorp as the Angolan club finished their two-game beatdown of Cote D'Or 7-2 on aggregate.

At Kano, Nigeria:

Despite dropping a 2-1 game-two decision on the road, AS Vita Club from the Democratic Republic of the Congo still won their two-match series with Kano Pillars 4-3 on aggregate.
