AFC Champions League

Group-stage play in the AFC Champions League continued on Tuesday with eight games.

GROUP C:

At Qarshi, Uzbekistan:

Igor Golban scored the only goal of the match in the 57th minute as Nasaf Qarshi defeated visiting Al-Wasl (UAE) 1-0.

At Doha, Qatar:

Baghdad Bounedjah scored twice (36', 51') as Al-Sadd defeated visiting Persepolis 3-1.

Marcus Berg converted a penalty kick in the tenth minute for the hosts.

At Seeb, Oman (due to deteriorating relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia):

Abdullah Al-Hafith's own goal in the 46th minute proved decisive for Esteghlal as the Iranian club (designated as hosts) defeated Saudi Arabia's Al-Hilal 1-0.

At Hong Kong:

Carlos Adriano de Sousa Cruz scored a hat trick (PK-6', 14'. PK-45'+1) in the first half as Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors annihilated Kitchee 6-0 on the road.
