The opening contests of the eleven remaining two-match series in the second qualifying round for the UEFA Champions League took place on Wednesday.
At Zestafoni, Georgia:
Jaba Dvali scored twice (24', 40') as FC Zestafoni dominated visiting FC Dacia Chisinau 3-0 in game one of their two-game series.
At Haifa, Israel:
Wiyam Amashe's hat trick (45'+1, 71', 73') helped Maccabi Haifa overcome an early one-goal deficit and dominate visiting Borac Banja Luka 5-1 in their series opener.
At Malmo, Sweden:
Malmo FF, with goals from Dardan Rexhepi (58') and Rogvi Holm (OG-77'), defeated HB Torshavn 2-0 in the opening contest of their two-match series.
At Rhyl, Wales:
Berat Sadik scored twice (14', 55') as HJK Helsinki placed one foot in the third qualifying round following their 3-0 game-one road domination of Bangor City.
At Korce, Albania:
Nuno Morais (52') and Gustavo Manduca (56') each scored a goal four minutes apart in the second half as APOEL FC topped Skenderbeu Korce 2-0 in game one of their two-match set on the road.
At Zagreb, Croatia:
With Ivan Krstanovic delivering a second-half double (46', PK-65'), Dinamo Zagreb easily took game one at home, 3-0 over Neftchi Baku.
At Klagenfurt, Austria:
Sturm Graz took their series opener over visiting Videoton, with Imre Szabics (68') and Roman Kienast (90'+2) providing the scoring.
At Riga, Latvia:
Renars Rode's own goal at 40 minutes may prove costly to Skonto as visiting Wisla Krakow took game one 1-0 on the road.
At Belgrade, Serbia:
After a scoreless first half, Partizan Belgrade erupted for four goals in the second half as the hosts throttled visiting Skendija 4-0 in match one. Zvonimir Vukic (48'), Eduardo (58'), Marko Scepovic (74') and Sedat Berisha (OG-76') each provided a goal for the club from the Serbian capital.
At Trondheim, Norway:
Per Ciljan Skjelbred (43'), Mikael Dorsin (48'), Markus Henriksen (72'), Rade Prica (76'), and Trond Olsen (86') each tallied once as Rosenborg demolished visiting Breidablik 5-0 in match one.
At Belfast, Northern Ireland:
Linfield settled for a 1-1 home draw in game one with BATE Borisov. Daryl Fordyce scored at 6 minutes for the Blues, but Renan Bressan's penalty kick at 37 minutes provided the equalizer---and potentially all-important road goal for the club from Belarus.
