In the opener, Sheldon Bateau (10'), Cordell Cato (13'), and Joevin Jones (25') each scored a first-half goal as Trinidad and Tobago defeated Guatemala 3-1.
In the nightcap, Oribe Peralta delivered a hat trick (16', 36', 61') as Mexico destroyed Cuba 6-0.
