The opening week of the second round of UEFA Champions League qualifying continued on Wednesday with the opening contest of each of five two-game series.
At Baku, Azerbaijan:
Rudar Pljevja of Montenegro held hosts Qarabag FK to a series-opening 0-0 stalemate.
At Barysaw, Belarus:
Alyaksandr Kamitsky (11') and Yevgeniy Yablonskiy (38') each scored a goal as BATE Borisov took game one 2-1 over visiting Dundalk FC. David McMillan kept the Irish club in the series with his road goal in the 32nd minute.
At Malmo, Sweden:
Zalgiris Vilnius gained a series-opening 0-0 road deadlock with Malmo FF.
At Glasgow, Scotland:
Dedryck Boyata (44') and Stefan Johansen (56') each scored once as Celtic blanked visiting Stjarnan 2-0 in the opening game of their series.
At Zagreb, Croatia:
Angelo Hernandez delivered the equalizer in the 36th minute, enabling Dinamo Zagreb to salvage a 1-1 series-opening home draw with Fola Esch. Samir Hadji scored for the Luxembourgian club in the 25th minute.
