During the shootout, Chilean goalkeeper Claudio Bravo saved Luis Biglia's spot kick while Lionel Messi's attempt missed the goal altogether.

Severe weather in the Chicago area delayed the opening of the second half by more than two hours.
Chile will face Argentina in Sunday's final at East Rutherford, New York (5:00 PM Pacific Time, Fox Sports One). It is a rematch of last year's final in which the Chileans won in the penalty-kick shootout and earned the South American berth in next year's Confederations Cup.
At for the Colombians, they will face the United States in Saturday's third-place playoff at Glendale, Arizona (5:00 PM Pacific Time, FX).
