UEFA Champions League Qualifying: Bhoys, Monaco, Legia, Ludogorets Take Series Openers; Dragons and Wolves Draw

The UEFA Champions League's playoff round reached its' midway point on Wednesday with five games.

At Sofia, Bulgaria:

Cosmin Moti (PK-51') and Virgil Misidjan (64') each scored once as Ludogorets Razgrad blanked visiting FC Viktoria Plzen 2-0 in the opening match of their two-game series.

At Glasgow, Scotland:

Leigh Griffiths scored twice (39', 45'+1) as Celtic dominated visiting Hapoel Be'er Sheva 5-2 in the opening contest of their series.


At Dubin, Ireland:

Nemanja Nikolic (PK-58') and Aleksandar Prijovic (90'+4) provided the scoring in Legia Warsaw's series-opening 2-0 road victory over Dundalk.

At Porto, Portugal:

Andre Silva's successful penalty kick in the 61st minute enabled FC Porto to salvage a series-opening 1-1 home draw with AS Roma.  Felipe Augusto de Almeida Monteiro's own goal in the 21st minute could prove to be a precious road goal for the Italian club.

At Villarreal, Spain:

Bernardo Silva scored the winning goal in the 72nd minute as AS Monaco knocked off Villarreal 2-1 on the road in match one.
