MLS: Citizens, Reds, Fire, Crew, SKC, RSL Grab Saturday Wins; Goose Eggs For Rapids and Visiting Lions

Seven games were played on Saturday in Major League Soccer.

At New York City:

David Villa's goal in the sixth minute stood up as New York City defeated the visiting Los Angeles Galaxy 1-0.

At Chester, Pennsylvania:

Sebastian Giovinco (18'), Drew Moor (30'), and Jozy Altidore (44') each produced a first-half goal as Toronto FC defeated the Philadelphia Union 3-1 on the road.

At Montreal:

Luis Solignac (15'), David Accam (73'), and Matt Polster (89') each scored once as the Chicago Fire snapped a 35-game road winless streak (and a nine-game winless run away from home as well) that had lasted since June of 2014 with a 3-0 whitewashing of the Montreal Impact.

At Foxborough, Massachusetts:

Ethan Finlay (8') and Federico Higuain (49') each scored a goal as the Columbus Crew picked up their first road win of the season, 2-0 over the New England Revolution.

At Commerce City, Colorado:

The Colorado Rapids and visiting Orlando City battled to a 0-0 stalemate.

At Kansas City, Kansas:

Jacob Peterson(39') and Benny Feilhaber (PK-64') each scored once as Sporting Kansas City blanked the visiting Vancouver Whitecaps 2-0 for their sixth successive home triumph.

At Sandy, Utah:

Jamison Olave scored the only goal of Real Salt Lake's 1-0 home win over FC Dallas in the 78th minute.
