Marcelo (PK-70') and Patrick Mullins (73') each scored twice to lift DC United from a two-goal deficit and enable the hosts to gain a 2-2 Atlantic Cup draw with the New York Red Bulls. Bradley Wright Phillips (38') and Felipe (64') each scored once for the visitors.
At Seattle:
Clint Dempsey scored twice (PK-61', 60') as the Seattle Sounders racked up their third straight victory, 3-1 over the visiting Portland Timbers (now the only club in the league without a road win) in the latest installment of the Cascadia Cup.
