At Washington:
Steve Birnbaum's equalizer in the fourth minute of second-half stoppage-time lifted DC United to a 2-2 home draw with the Philadelphia Union. Taylor Kemp also scored for the hosts at 16 minutes. The Union's goals came courtesy of Tranquillo Barnetta (45'+1) and Chris Pontius (57').
At Toronto:
Sebastian Giovinco produced a hat trick (20', 29', PK-76')as Toronto FC dominated the visiting New England Revolution 4-1.
At Montreal:
Matteo Mancosu scored the lone goal of the match in the 76th minute as the Montreal Impact downed the visiting Houston Dynamo 1-0.
At Commerce City, Colorado:
Marlon Hairston (44') and Dominique Badji (60') delivered the goals as the Colorado Rapids blanked the visiting Vancouver Whitecaps 2-0.
At Sandy, Utah:
Javier Morales scored twice (PK-28', 64') while goalkeeper Nick Rimando set a new MLS career record with his 181st victory as Real Salt Lake defeated the visiting Chicago Fire 3-1.
