Samuel Mabunda scored twice (5', 74') as Mamelodi Sundowns all but locked up their series with Cote d'Or by destroying their hosts 5-0.
At Dar es Salaam, Tanzania:
Thabani Kamusoko's equalizer at the death (90'+6) lifted ZESCO United to a 1-1 series-opening road deadlock with Young Africans.
Patrick Sibomana converted a penalty kick for the Tanzanian club's tally in the 24th minute.
At Bulawayo, Zimbabwe:
Never Tigere's goal in the 21st minute carried FC Platinum to a 1-0 game-one home victory over UD Songo.
At Lusaka, Zambia:
Christian Ngudikama scored the winning goal in the 86th minute as the August 1st Club upended Green Eagles 2-1 on the road in their series opener.
