Justin Meram (4'), Emerson Hyndman (90'), and Gonzalo Martinez (90'+2) each scored once as Atlanta United---despite losing Josef Martinez to a 79th-minute knee injury as his MLS-record string of 15 straight games with a goal came to an end---defeated the visiting San Jose Earthquakes 3-1.
At Vancouver, British Columbia:
Fredy Montero's late equalizer (90'+4) lifted the Vancouver Whitecaps to a 1-1 home draw with Columbus.
Gyasi Zardes scored for the visiting Crew in the 18th minute.
At Cincinnati:
FC Cincinnati and the visiting Chicago Fire battled to a 0-0 stalemate.
At Foxborough, Massachusetts:
Real Salt Lake and the home-standing New England Revolution saw their contest conclude in a 0-0 deadlock as both clubs are battling for playoff berths.
At Houston:
Alberth Elis and Christian Ramirez both scored in the 70th minute as the Houston Dynamo upended visiting Orlando City 2-1.
At Kansas City, Kansas:
Diego Rubio haunted his former club with the game-winning goal in the 76th minute as the Colorado Rapids knocked off Sporting Kansas City 2-1 on the road to keep their flickering playoff chances alive.
At Carson, California:
Zlatan Ibrahimovic (31') and Uriel Antuna (50') provided the scoring as the Los Angeles Galaxy topped the visiting Montreal Impact 2-1.
At Los Angeles:
Carlos Vela's successfully-converted penalty kick at the death (90'+5) lifted the Los Angeles Football Club to a 1-1 home draw with Toronto FC.
Tsubasa Endoh scored in the 19th minute for the visiting Reds, who locked up a playoff berth after a one-year absence.
As a result of Saturday's action, DC United and the New York Red Bulls, along with Toronto FC, clinched MLS Cup Playoff berths.
