Two games were contested on Tuesday as action in Group H of the UEFA Champions League opened.

At Amsterdam, Netherlands:

Quincy Promes (18'), Edson Alvarez (50', that's him, here celebrating), and Nicolas Tagliafico (62') each scored once as Ajax Amsterdam dominated visiting LOSC Lille Metropole 3-0.

Rodrigo Moreno Machado scored the only goal of the match in the 74th minute (as shown here) as Valencia defeated Chelsea 1-0 on the road.
