At Seattle:
Nico Lodeiro scored twice (23', 90'+4) as the Seattle Sounders doubled up the visiting New York Red Bulls 4-2.
At Carson, California:
Zlatan Ibrahimovic delivered a hat trick (32', 51', 85') while Sebastian Lletget added a double (77', 79') as the Los Angeles Galaxy scored seven unanswered goals en route to a 7-2 home frontier-style fist beating of Sporting Kansas City.
