UEFA Champions League, Group D: Mattress Makers Battle Back To Gain Home Draw With Juve; Loko Knock Off Leverkusen On Road

Two games were played on Wednesday as action in Group D of the UEFA Champions League commenced.

At Madrid:

Stefan Savic (70') and Hector Herrera (90') each scored once to carry Atletico Madrid from a two-goal deficit to a 2-2 home draw with Juventus.

Juan Cuadrado (48') and Blaise Matuidi (65') each scored once for The Old Lady.

At Leverkusen, Germany:

Dmitri Barinov (shown here celebraing) scored the winning goal in the 37th minute as Lokomotiv Moscow knocked off Bayer Leverkusen 2-1 on the road.

1. Lokomotiv Moscow (GP: 1; GD: +1; PTS: 3)
2. Juventus (GP: 1; GD: 0; PTS: 1)

NOTE:  Juventus scored twice on the road in the Italian club's 2-2 draw with Atletico Madrid.
