MLS Cup Playoffs: Nashville, Revs, Sounders Advance

 Three conference quarterfinal games were contested on Tuesday as the MLS Cup Playoffs' Round of 16 concluded.


At East Hartford, Connecticut (due to travel and quarantine restrictions resulting from COVID-19):


Daniel Rios came through in the 108th minute as his overtime goal lifted Nashville SC to a 1-0 road victory over Toronto FC.


At Chester, Pennsylvania:


Adam Buksa (26') and Tajon Buchanan (30') each scored a goal four minutes apart as the New England Revolution knocked off the Philadelphia Union 2-0 on the road.


At Seattle:


Nico Lodeiro (18'), Raul Ruidiaz (66'), and Jordan Morris (80') each scored once as the Seattle Sounders continued their MLS Cup title defense by dominating the visiting Los Angeles Football Club 4-1.
