Red Devils, Blues Win

Five games Wednesday in the English Premier League:

At Manchester:

Manchester United maintained their three-point advantage over Chelsa atop the EPL standings by blanking visiting Everton 3-0. Cirstiano Ronaldo (39'), Patrice Evra (63'), and John O'Shea (89') provided the scoring for the Red Devils.

At Bolton:

Michael Ballack's tally during first-half stoppage time was the lone score as Chelsea kept pace with Manchester United by blanking homestanding Bolton 1-0.

At London:

First-half goals from Brian McBride (6') and Tomasz Radzinski (19') enabled Fulham to defeat Arsenal for the first time in 40 years, 2-1 at home.

At Birmingham:

Darius Vassell (18'), Joey Barton (32'), and Sylvain Distin (75') provided the scoring for Manchester City as the Citizens picked up their first road win of the Premiership season, 3-1 versus Aston Villa.

At Liverpool:

Liverpool and visiting Portsmouth battled to a 0-0 stalemate.
