Borac and Nordsjaelland Punch Tickets For UEFA Cup First Round

Two two-match sets in the second round of qualifying for the 2008-09 UEFA Cup concluded Tuesday with the winners advancing to the first round proper:

SOUTHERN-MEDITERRANEAN REGION:

At Sofia, Bulgaria:

Boban Stojanovic scored the series-winning goal in the 36th minute to lift Serbian club FK Borac Cacak to a 1-1 game two road draw against Lokomotiv Sofia, enabling the guests to win the two-game series 2-1 on aggregate.

NORTHERN REGION:

At Farum, Denmark:

Martin Bernburg's second-half double lifted FC Nordsjaelland to a 2-1 home win over Scotland's Queen of the South in game two, thus allowing the Danish club to advance to the first round proper, winning their two-match set 4-2 on aggregate.
