At Charleston, South Carolina:
After a 1-1 deadlock through 120 minutes, in a battle of teams from the first division of the United Soccer Leagues, the Charleston Battery won the penalty-kick shootout 4-3 at home over the Seattle Sounders.
DC United will host Charleston in the US Open Cup final on September 3 at RFK Stadium.
