North American SuperLiga Final: Revs Finally Find Way To Beat Dynamo

At Foxboro, Massachusetts:

The New England Revolution won the championship of the 2008 North Amercican SuperLiga by defeating the Houston Dynamo 3-2 after winning an eight-round penalty kick shootout 6-5. Chris Albright scored what turned out to be the game winning goal in the eighth round of the shootout, then Revs goalkeeper Matt Reis tipped the Dynamo's Corey Ashe's penalty kick to preserve the win. The score was deadlocked at 1-1 after regulation time, then 2-2 after two overtime periods.
