UEFA Champions League Qualifying

The second round of UEFA Champions League qualifying commenced with twelve games on Tuesday.

At Ta' Qali, Malta:

Chumbinho scored the only goal of the match in the 18th minute as Qarabag FK took the opening match of their two-game series with Valletta FC 1-0 on the road.

At Bratislava, Slovakia:

Erik Cikos scored the only goal of the match in the 52nd minute as Slovan Bratislava blanked The New Saints 1-0 at home in their series opener.

At Borisov, Belarus:

Albania's Skenderbeu Korce held hosts FC BATE Borisov to a series-opening 0-0 stalemate.

At Tiraspol, Moldova:

Andrei Muresan (71') and Ismail Isa (87') delivered the goals as FC Sheriff blanked visiting Sutjeska Niksic 2-0 in match one of their two-game series.

At Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina:

NK Maribor from Slovenia held home-standing HNK Zrinjski Mostar to a series-opening 0-0 deadlock.

At Andorra la Vella, Andorra:

Maccabi Tel Aviv, with Rade Prica scoring the game's lone goal in the 62nd minute, took the opening match of their series with FC Santa Coloma 1-0 on the road.

At Skopje, Macedonia:

FK Rabotnicki battled visiting HJK Helsinki to a series-opening 0-0 draw.

At Prague, Czech Republic:

David Lafata scored five goals  (22', 44', PK-45'+3, 57', 60') as Sparta Prague slaughtered visiting FC Levadia Tallinn 7-0 in the opening match of what may end up as a two-game mismatch.

At Belfast, Northern Ireland:

Debreceni VSC held home-standing Cliftonville to a series -opening 0-0 stalemate.

At Belgrade, Serbia:

Danko Lazovic scored twice (14', 64') as Partizan Belgrade dominated visiting HB Torshavn 3-0 in the opening game of their series with the Faroese club.

At Zagreb, Croatia:

El-Arbi Hillel Soudani (58') and Domagoj Antolic (70') produced the goals for Dinamo Zagreb as the Croatian champs blanked visiting Zalgiris Vilnius 2-0 in their series opener.

At Reykjavik, Iceland:

Callum McGregor scored the only goal of the match in the 84th minute as Celtic defeated KR Reykjavik 1-0 on the road in the opening contest of their two-game series against the Icelandic club.
