UEFA Champions League, Group C: Atletico, Benfica Post 2-0 Wins

Two games were contested on Tuesday as Group C play in the UEFA Champions League commenced.

At Istanbul, Turkey:

Antoine Griezmann scored both goals (18', 25'; he and his teammates are shown here celebrating after his second tally) in Atletico Madrid's 2-0 road win over Galatasaray.

At Lisbon, Portugal:

Nicolas Gaitan (51') and Konstantinos Mitroglou (62') each delivered a goal as SL Benfica blanked visiting FC Astana 2-0, spoiling the first-ever Champions League group-stage match for a club from Kazakhstan.   Here Nicolas (center) celebrating with Konstantinos (right).
