2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifying (CONCACAF): El Salvador, Canada, Haiti, Nicaragua, SVG, A&B Grab Series Openers

The third round of CONCACAF-regional qualifying for the 2018 FIFA World Cup opened on Friday with the opening contest of each of six two-game home-and-away series.

At Willemstad, Curacao:

Alexander Larin scored the only goal of the match in the 12th minute as El Salvador took the opening match of their series with Curacao 1-0 on the road.

At Toronto:

Tosaint Ricketts scored twice (25', 65') as Canada dominated visiting Belize 3-0 in their series opener.

At St. George's Grenada:

Jean-Eudes Maurice (27'), Mechack Jerome (38'), and Duckens Nazon (56') delivered the goals as Haiti took the opening contest of their series with Grenada 3-1 on the road.

At Kingston, Jamaica:

Luis Galeano scored the winning goal in the 48th minute as Nicaragua raced to a 3-0 lead before hanging on for a 3-2 game-one road victory over Jamaica.

At Kingstown, Saint Vincent and the  Grenadines:

Tevin Slater (51') and Oalex Anderson (PK-90') produced the goals as Saint Vincent and the Grenadines blanked visiting Aruba 2-0 in their opening match.

At North Sound, Antigua and Barbuda:

Myles Weston's successful penalty kick in the 72nd minute lifted Antigua and Barbuda to a series-opening 1-0 victory over visiting Guatemala.
