At Atlanta:
Yamil Asad scored twice (16', 20') as Atlanta United scored all their goals in the first half en route to demolishing the visiting Los Angeles Galaxy 4-0 in a contest that saw both clubs reduced to ten men.
At Toronto:
Ignacio Piatti (10', 24') and Anthony Jackson-Hamel (47', 51') each scored twice as the Montreal Impact held off Toronto FC 5-3 on the road and handed the Reds their first home defeat of the season.
