FIFA World Cup Qualifying (CONCACAF): Team USA To Miss World Cup For First Time In 32 Years After Falling To Soca Warriors In Trinidad; Panama Qualifies For First-Ever World Cup; Honduras To Battle Socceroos In Intercontinental Playoff

Three were contested on Tuesday as the Hexagonal Round of CONCACAF-regional qualifying for next year's FIFA World Cup came to a conclusion.

At San Pedro Sula, Honduras:

Romell Quioto scored the winning goal in the 60th minute as Honduras defeated visiting Mexico 3-2 and qualified for a two-match home-and-away playoff against Australia for a ticket to Russia.

At Panama City, Panama:

Gabriel Torres (52') and Roman Torres (88') each scored once as Panama came from behind to knock off Costa Rica 2-1 at home to qualify for their first-ever World Cup.

At Couva, Trinidad and Tobago:

Alvin Jones scored the game-winning goal in the 37th minute as Trinidad and Tobago knocked off the United States 2-1 at home as the Americans will miss the World Cup for the first time since 1986.

1. Mexico (GP: 10; GD: +9; PTS: 21)
2. Costa Rica (GP: 10; GD: +6; PTS: 16)
3. Panama (GP: 10; GD: -1; PTS; 13)
4. Honduras (GP: 10; GD: -6; PTS: 13)
5. United States (GP: 10; GD: +4; PTS: 12)
6. Trinidad and Tobago (GP: 10; GD: -12; PTS: 6)

Mexico, Costa Rica, and Panama qualified directly for the 2018 FIFA World Cup; Honduras will play Australia in a two-game intercontinental playoff for a FIFA World Cup berth, with Honduras hosting the first contest on November 6, and the return match to be played on November 14 in Sydney, Australia.
