UEFA Champions League, Group G: Black Eagles Assure Themselves Of Staying In Europe After Start Of New Year; RB Leipzig Knock Off Dragons At Home

Two games in Group G of the UEFA Champions League took place on Tuesday.

At Fontvieille, Monaco:

Cenk Tuson scored twice (34', 54') as Besiktas assured themselves of at least going into the Europa League knockout stage by defeating AS Monaco 2-1 on the road.  The Black Eagles currently top the Group G standings and have a real shot of advancing into the Champions League's Round of 16.  Here's the hosts' Radamel Falcao celebrating after scoring what turned out to be the lone Monaco goal in the 30th minute.

At Leipzig, Germany:

Jean-Kevin Augustin scored the winning goal in the 41st minute as RB Leipzig defeated visiting FC Porto 3-2 for their first-ever Champions League victory.  Here's RB Leipzig coach Ralph Hasenhuetti celebrating after his club's home victory over the Dragons.
