Mohamed Traore's equalizer at 85 minutes enabled Club Africain to salvage a series-opening 1-1 home draw with JS Kabyile. Edris El-Sharky scored at 30 minutes for the visiting Algerian club.
At Tripoli, Libya:
Cheick Oumar Dabo's equalizer at 74 enabled Morocco's Difaa El Jadida to gain a 1-1 road draw in match one with Al Ittihad Tripoli. Ahmed El-Zoe scored for the hosts at 58 minutes.
