Five Games On Wednesday Copa Libertadores Slate

Group stage play in the Copa Libertadores continued with five Wednesday contests.

Group One:

At Bogata, Colombia:

Dentinho's equalizer at 84 minutes carried Corinthians to a 1-1 road stalemate with Independiente Medellin.  The hosts' tally came at 75 minutes from Cesar Augusto Valoyes.

At Manizales, Colombia:


John Valencia's equalizer at 58 minutes enabled Once Caldas to gain a 1-1 home deadlock with Monterrey.  Hector Morales scored for the Striped Gang at 32 minutes.


Group Three:


At Lima, Peru:


In a battle of Peruvian clubs, Jose Fernandez (40') and Giancarlo Tragodara (58') provided the goalpower as Alianza Lima blanked visiting Juan Aurich 2-0.

Banfield held hosts Club Nacional to a 2-2 stalemate.  For the visiting Argentinian club, James Rodriguez provided both goals (17', PK-35') while Gustavo Varela (5') and Mario Ignacio Requeiro Pintos (40') provided the goals form the hosts.

Vagner Love's double (PK-34', 74') helped propel Flamengo to a 3-1 road win over Caracas FC.
