Cerro and Sao Paulo Win On Road; Two Draws On Thursday

Four games were played Thursday in group stage play in the Copa Libertadores.

Group Two:

At Asuncion, Paraguay:

Washington's double (58', 89') carried Sao Paulo to a 2-0 home win over Club Nacional of Paraguay.

GROUP TWO STANDINGS:

2. Sao Paulo (GP: 3; GD: +3; PTS: 6)

Group Five:

At Guayaquil, Ecuador:

Pablo Caballero (51') and Claudio Martin Dadomo (66') each tallied once as Cerro defeated Emelec 2-1 on the road.


At Quito, Ecuador:


Giuliano's 40th-minute equalizer carried Internacional to a 1-1 road deadlock with Deportivo Quito.  Tilson Minda scored at 32 minutes for the hosts.

Kleber's double (26', 50') helped Cruzeiro gain a 2-2 road stalemate with Deportivo Italia.  Richard Blanco (11') and David McIntosh (65') each scored once for the hosts.
