Saturday Action In CAF Champions League

Eight two-game series in the CAF Champions League's Round of 32 commenced on Saturday.

At Kigali, Rwanda:

Albeir Ngabo scored the game's lone goal at 87 minutes as APR FC took game one of their two-match series 1-0 at home over defending champions TP Mazembe.

At Ismalia, Egypt:

Ahmed Samir Farag scored twice (16', 80') as Ismaily defeated visiting US Stade Tamponnaise (Reunion) 3-1 in game one of their two-match set.


At Tunis, Tunisia:


Khaled Ayari (13'), Michael Eneramo (20'), Wajdi Bouazzi (26') and Zied Berbali (55') each tallied once as Esperance ST overpowered visiting ASFA Yennega 4-1 in game one.


At Curepipe, Mauritius:


Botswana's Gaborone United blitzed Curepipe Starlight 3-0 in game one on the road.


At Harare, Zimbabwe:


Norman Maroto scored the game's only goal at 23 minutes as Gunners FC defeated visiting Al-Ahly 1-0 in their series opener.


At Lusaka, Zambia:


Zanaco FC defeated visiting ASEC Mimosas 1-0 in game one.

At Tiko, Cameroon:


Ackey Ambino (60') and Tamen Nghanthy (85') each scored once for Tiko United as the hosts settled for a 2-2 home draw in game one with Heartland FC.  The Nigerian club got two potentially precious away goals, both from Signs Chibamabo (76', 90').


At Johannesburg, South Africa:


Tebogo Langerman doubled (37', 61') as Supersport United FC took game one of their two-match set 3-0 at home over Ferroviario Maputo.
