Corinthians and Flamengo Pick Up Wednesday Copa Wins; Two Draws

Four more games were played on Wednesday in the Copa Libertadores' group stage.

Group One:

At Asuncion, Paraguay:

Ronaldo scored the game's lone goal at 40 minutes as Corinthians defeated Cerro Porteno 1-0 on the road.

Group Two:

At Monterrey, Mexico:

Visiting Once Caldas and Monterrey battled to a 2-2 stalemate.  Dayro Mauricio Moreno (1') and Jaime Alberto Castrillon (66') each tallied once for the visiting club from Colombia while the homestanding Striped Gang each got a tally courtesy of Osvaldo Martinez (PK-17') and Neri Cardozo (46').

Group Eight:

At Caracas, Venezuela:

Caracas FC were held to a 0-0 home deadlock by Universidad Catolica.

At Santiago, Chile:

Eduardo Vargas (42') and Felipe Seymour (54') each contributed a score as Universidad de Chile defeated visiting Flamengo 2-1.
