RAPIDS WIN FIRST MLS CUP TITLE

At Toronto:

Macoumba Kandji scored the winning goal in overtime in the 108th minute, as his shot deflected off the leg of FC Dallas defender George John into the Hoops' net, as the Colorado Rapids won their first-ever Major League Soccer championship on Sunday 2-1 over their Western Conference rivals in the MLS Cup Final.  The Hoops got on the scoreboard first in the 35th minute as David Ferreira, who was named the Most Valuable Player in MLS this past week, put Dallas in front.  The Rapids tied it up in the 57th minute, thanks to the equalizer from game MVP Conor Casey.
